Christchurch

Christchurch – January 26,27

From Nelson I took the 8.30 a.m. bus and at 15.30 (Intercity bus – 35 NZ$ bought by internet well in advance) I got Christchurch.  Christchurch is a nice small town (the second biggest in New Zealand). Some nice parks, a nice Cathedral. It’s  relaxing town as most of the New Zealand towns. I didn’t book any hostel in advance but I found a place t stay close to the bus station very easily.

There is not too much to do in Christchurch but it’s a nice place to spend 1 or 2 relaxing days.

January 28 Intrcity bus for Mount Cook Aoraki (62 NZ$) at 7.40 a.m.

 A nice thing is that inside the buses the drivers talk and talk and talk explaining about the places we see during the journey….sometimes it’s not that great when you want to sleep of course! ;o)
